Are grants still available for workplace EV chargers?

Yes — the Workplace Charging Scheme currently covers 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to £500 per socket and 40 sockets per applicant, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations with off-street parking. (The separate staff-and-fleets infrastructure grant closed to new applications in April 2026.) Schemes change, so we'll confirm what your site qualifies for when we quote.

Do we need permission from the electricity network to install chargers?

Charge point installations must be notified to (and in some cases approved by) your District Network Operator, and larger schemes may need a supply upgrade. We handle the DNO process, load assessment and any supply works as part of the job.

What speed of charger should we install?

For workplaces, 7kW or 22kW AC chargers suit vehicles parked for hours and keep supply demands manageable. Rapid DC charging only earns its cost where vehicles need a fast turnaround — fleets and visitor-facing sites. We'll model your supply capacity and usage before recommending hardware.

Can you future-proof the installation?

Yes — we routinely install containment, ducting and supply capacity for more sockets than day one requires, so adding chargers later is a fraction of the cost of starting again.
