Health and safety at Capital M&E is run as a management system, not a folder of certificates. We are certified to ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management), independently audited annually, and SSIP-approved through CHAS, Alcumus SafeContractor and Constructionline Gold.
Because our team is directly employed, the people on your site are inducted, trained and supervised by us — carrying ID, with competency records available for any site induction or client audit.

Method statements & risk assessments
Project-specific RAMS are produced for every job, reviewed by the site supervisor and briefed to the team before work starts — not generic paperwork reused between sites.
Toolbox talks
A maintained library of trade-specific toolbox talks, delivered on site and recorded, covering the real risks of electrical and mechanical work.
COSHH & PUWER
Substance and equipment assessments held within our business management system, with calibrated, inspected test equipment and plant.
Trained, ticketed people
Site management hold SMSTS and IOSH qualifications; operatives carry the tickets the work needs — IPAF, PASMA, PTS and Sentinel-managed competencies for rail, CompEx for hazardous areas — with copies available on request.
Environmental controls
A maintained legal register and environmental aspects & impacts register under ISO 14001, covering waste streams, transport, spill response and WEEE.
Reporting & review
Accidents, incidents and near-misses are recorded and reviewed under RIDDOR requirements. Our accident record and H&S policy statement are available to clients on request.
